Obituary of William S. Richardson

William S. Richardson, 79, husband of Beverly J. (Sadler) Richardson, passed October 18, 2024 in Bangor. He was born Feb. 2, 1945 in Bangor, the son of Donald L. and Alice (Hammond) Richardson.

Bill was a 1963 graduate of Brewer High School and worked for many years in industrial sales. He and Beverly were members of East Orrington Congregational Church and he was active in the Men’s Group. He was Cub Master and Assistant Scout Master for Troop 44, Orrington and was a member of the Enterprise Grange #173. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, puttering and working on his camp at Brewer Lake. He was very patriotic, loved his country and taught his sons and grandchildren to respect and honor our country’s flag, to love God and to be kind and helpful to everyone. “A simple act of kindness to another is not difficult.”

Surviving in addition to his wife of Holden are his two sons, Stephen Richardson and his wife, Toni and John Richardson and his wife, Laura both of Augusta; grandchildren, Caleb and Hannah Richardson, Erin and Daniel Richardson all of Augusta; one Godchild, Emma Foster Myles; several nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family.

A service honoring and celebrating Bill’s life will be held 10 AM Friday, Oct. 25, 2024 at East Orrington Congregational  Church, 38 Johnson Mill road, Orrington where a reception time will immediate follow in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be private. Orrington Cong Church, Pastor Discretionary Fund, 38 Johnson Mill Road, Orrington, ME 04474.
