Obituary of Mikel S. Richards

Mikel S. Richards, 61, husband of Jean (Harding) Richards, died unexpectedly and peacefully, August 11, 2024 while working around his home. He was born Oct. 27, 1962 in Bangor, the son of Frederick N. and Rita (Russell) Richards.

Mike worked for 28 years for Toys R Us in Bangor where he considered his fellow co-workers his second family. Over the past 5 years, he had been working for Hannaford Supermarket on Broadway, Bangor. Mike enjoyed and took pride in working around his home.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 39 years of Holden are one son, Corey Richards and his fiancée, Emma of Hermon and two grandchildren, Abigail and Carter Richards; one brother, Glenn Richards and his wife, Laurie of Arizona. He will be remembered by many friends and co-workers and will be missed by his dog, Lucy, with whom he enjoyed going for walks along the waterfront.
