Mom was not only my mother but best friend in my adult years. I could tell her anything and she could do the same. Everything I did she backed me 100%. I always knew she was there whenever I needed her for everything from babysitting the girls to letting us all move in after my divorce. She lived through the depression, the loss of her father, and then needing to go live with her grandmother until high school. Her past made her into a woman who would do anything for her family and didn’t want anyone to go without. She was very social and joined committees and meetings and was always willing to pitch in and help. That said she was frugal and rarely bought anything for herself. She was not a person that ever put on airs but was happy and content living a simple life with her husband Gene that she was entirely devoted to. My children and grandchildren ( and even great grand child) were very close to her especially in their younger years. She loved children. Mom was loved by us all very much and will be missed more than can be expressed.
