Obituary of Robbie Lynn Barnes

BUCKSPORT - Robbie Lynn Barnes entered the ever after January 8, 2024, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor surrounded by loved ones after a brief illness.

Affectionately known as "Ottie" by the many children she looked after as they grew from infancy to adulthood, she will always be remembered for her amazing heart and giving nature. From ball games to dance recitals, holidays to nights by the fire, she loved to be around those most dear to her to share a laugh and undercooked marshmallow over an open flame.   She loved fiercely and maintained an open heart for those in need and distress until her final days. Outside of her people, she most loved her dog, Bella and cats Bucky and Rascal. 

Robbie was predeceased by her husband John L Barnes.  Her memory kept alive by those who remember her: father and mother Harry and Mary Woodman of Bucksport; son and daughter-in-law Justin and Shawna Barnes of Cable, WI; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Joe Dambrosio of Chester, NH; brother and sister-in-law Dean and Melody Woodman of Bucksport; brother Troy Woodman of New Brunswick, Canada; grandchildren Caden, Alexandra, Nicholas, and Nathan; nieces Casey, Maegan and Lacey; nephews Chris, Darrin, TJ, David, and Kyle; great-nieces and nephews Shawn, Bea, Harrison, Kori, Emmi, and Benit; friends who were family Jackie and Paul Mattsen of Londonberry, NH, Doloras and Wayne Foster of Clifton; Todd and Kate Foster of Clifton, Dan and Crystal Harlan of Bucksport.  Robbie loved and was loved and sincerely appreciated all those who entered her life. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to her favorite charity, St Jude’s Hospital would be appreciated.
