Obituary of Paul M. Simek
Paul Method Simek, 78, passed peacefully on Christmas of 2023. He was born September 12, 1945 in Chicago, IL, the son of Method F. and Otilla (Kupka) Simek.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and was raised in Chicago where he met and married the love of his life, Joyce, of 57 years. Paul served in the US Army stationed in Germany as an MP. After serving in the Army, he went on to become an engineer working on the implementation of the 911 safety system across the country. Paul enjoyed retirement life traveling and cruising around the world. He was an avid golfer and bowler who always enjoyed the almost impossible 7-10 split.
Paul is survived by his wife Joyce; his son, Paul and wife Renee and son, Robert and wife, Heidi; grandchildren, Andrew and Logan, Shannon and husband, Dustin; great grandson, Diego. He was predeceased by his parents.
Paul’s wishes were for no formal service. The family asks that memorial donations be sent to the Maine Veterans Home Activity Fund, 44 Hogan Road, Bangor, ME 04401.
