Obituary of Marion Albin Rudnicki
Marion A. “Rud” Rudnicki, 91, husband of the late Jeanne (Doyon) Rudnicki, died peacefully Nov. 9, 2023 at his home in Bangor. He was born Jan. 29, 1932 in Bangor, the son of Albin J. and Pauline (Zalenska) Rudnicki.
Rud was a 1951 graduate of Bangor High School and served with the US Army during the Korean War serving in Germany. He spent his working career working with his family on the family farm, Sunshine Farm Dairy. Rud was active in veterans affairs with the Maine Troop Greeters and Wreathes Across America. He was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church and was a longtime member of the Maine Snowmobile Association.
Surviving are two children, David Rudnicki and his wife, Bonnie of Bangor and Lisa Pedersen and her husband, Robert of Corinth; grandchildren, Emily Pedersen of Corinth, Kyle Pedersen of Corinth and Jeffery Hichborn of Hudson; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jase and Alivia; eight brothers and sisters,
Felicia Wiswell and her husband, Donald, of Orrington, Karl Rudnicki and his wife, Suzan of Carmel, Pauline Neville and her husband, Ritchie of Bangor, Frances Beland and her husband, Normand of South Windsor, Conn., Rosalia Adams and her husband, Ronald, of Bangor, Helena Bosse of Milford, James Rudnicki and his wife, Bernadette of Glenburn and A. Jon Rudnicki of Glenburn; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Jeanne, his son, Dennis Rudnicki in 2011, by a daughter, Annette Rudnicki, by a brother, Theodore Rudnicki and by a sister, Johanna Hill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, York St., Bangor. Burial with military honors will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Wreathes Across America at wreathsacrossamerica.org.
