Amanda Curry

Obituary of Amanda Lynn Curry

On May 10, 2023, the world lost a bright light when Amanda Lynn Curry passed away unexpectedly after suffering a stroke at the age of 44. Amanda was born December 20, 1978 to her loving parents Kimberly Richardson Thayer and Archie Curry III.

Amanda grew up in Dover-Foxcroft and Sebec, graduating from Foxcroft Academy in 1997. Amanda spent most of her working life as a server/bar tender in various restaurants, most recently at High Tide and Blue Sky Lounge. Amanda was very social and loved meeting and taking care of people.

Amanda was many things to many people. She was a Daughter, a Sister, and a Friend but despite saying for years that she would “NEVER” have kids, her greatest role was as a Mom, raising her two beautiful strong and strong willed daughters.

Amanda will be forever loved and missed by her daughters Kieran and Kirstin Clawson, her boy Bagel, her parents Kim Thayer and Archie Curry, her bonus parents Dave Thayer and Val Curry, her Brothers and Sisters in law, Alex and Ashley Robinson, Andrew and Sarah Robinson, Her Sisters and Brothers in law, Melissa and Chris Bither, Eryn and Jeff Haack. Amanda was also the “cool” Auntie to Natalie, Sam and Jace Robinson, Amelia Robinson, Emma Bither, Jaedon and Jacob Haack. Amanda is also survived by her Grandfather Bill Richardson and his wife Marilyn and her Grandmother Barb Cahill, her Grandmother Betsey Stone, her Aunts and Uncles, Kelly and Brett Hutchinson, Ken and Pam Richardson, Leanne Cox, Greg and Cathy Curry as well as a huge extended family both biological and chosen, including her High Tide family and customers.

Amanda was pre-deceased by her Grandmother Alice Richardson, her Grandfather Archie Curry Jr, her Grandfather Robert Stone and her Uncle Joe Cox.
