In the beginning, I came to know Jean and Tom and their family through St Mary’s Church, CHCS and Vine St School. We were raising children who were close in age, and that led us to school and church events together. Jean was always so warm, and so down to earth- easy to talk to. She loved her family deeply; this was her calling. I hadn’t seen her in a long time; social media helped keep a connection across the miles and seasons of life. I thought so
much of her, and am so saddened by her passing. In my mind’s eye I will remember sitting with her at the Ohio St house sharing a cup of tea and catching each other up on the families. May Jean’s memory be as a blessing. The world is a better place because she was here.

Tom, Moira, Jonathan, David and family,
Jean was amazing. We met as young Moms when our children were young and continued to be in one another’s orbits from then on. Her kindness, humor and compassion were always on display. The world is less bright without Jean in it. You are all in my prayers.

The thing I will always remember about Jean is how incredibly positive she always was. I didn’t know her well, but I never talked to her without receiving a big smile and a kind word.
I usually ran into her in association with her attending a play her beautiful and talented daughter, Moira was in. I’ve had the pleasure of directing Moira many times and getting a compliment from Jean was like getting a compliment from my own mom. It always meant a lot.
My condolences to you all on this very, very sad loss. I and the folks at Ten Bucks Theatre are holding you all in our hearts and sending strength and love to get through this most difficult time.
