Obituary of Cody J. Crooker

Cody Jackson Crooker, 31, died unexpectedly as a result of a motor vehicle accident Sunday, November 13, 2022. Cody was born in Bangor on August 9, 1991 the son of Randy J. and Melissa (Thompson) Crooker.

The only thing Cody loved more than family and hunting was Jesus. He adored his nieces and nephews beyond words. He graduated from Highview Christian Academy in 2009 and most recently worked as a mill operator at Dove Tail Bats in Shirley.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Merle and Helen Crooker. Cody is survived by his parents, maternal grandparents; Raymond and Paula Thompson; two sisters, Heather Kierstead and her husband Aaron of Presque Isle, Christina Bean and her husband Eric, and a brother Chadwick and his wife Brittany all of Corinth; nieces and nephews, Josiah, Jazzmin, Lexie, Hunter, Kylie, Elijah, Jaxson and Lincon; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and a very special friend, Whitney Holmes. There was no one who met Cody that didn’t like him.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations please be made to a fund being established to help missionaries going to Haiti, a cause important to Cody. Donations may be sent to the Cody Crooker Memorial Fund, c/o Maine Savings FCU, PO Box 247, Corinth, ME  04427.

A service honoring Cody’s life will be held 11 AM Friday, Nov. 18, 2022 at Cross Point Church, Broadway, Bangor where family and friends may visit from 9:30 AM until the service begins.
