Obituary of Lawrence Alton Taylor
LEVANT – Lawrence (Larry) Alton Taylor passed away into the Lord’s arms January 23, 2022, at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor after battling Covid-19. Larry was born November 27, 1954, to Neal and Carolyn Taylor. He was one of ten children.
Larry was born in Maine and moved to New Brunswick, Canada. After living and working many years in Canada, he moved back to Levant to take care of his aging mother. Larry was a veteran of the Navy and drove a school bus for a living. He could often be found driving kids to and from sporting events. Larry loved his family and would drive anywhere to see them. He talked about his son Larry Jr. and his son’s wife (Holly) often. He was always bragging about his terrific grandsons and he always remembered their birthdays. Larry loved his grandsons very much. Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Thomas Neal Taylor and Thomas Cecil Taylor. He is survived by son Lawrence Alton Taylor Jr. and wife Holly (Greenlaw); grandsons Gavin Neil Taylor and Sam Lucas Taylor; siblings Eugenia Mayhew, Donald Taylor, Rose Ronco, Alan Taylor, Brian Taylor, Nancy Corson, Linda Reed; stepsister Cindy Gough; former spouse and mother of his child Patricia Ann Hanley; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He will be buried privately with his family at South Levant Cemetery. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, Bangor and Brewer.
