Obituary of Grace Irma Pinkham
Grace Irma (Grant) Pinkham, born to Albion W. & Bertha A (Harrington) Dorr Grant on July 17, 1935 in Cherryfield, Maine. Ascended into Heaven on January 21, 2022 with her children by her side, after a long and courageous battle with COPD.
Irma was a fun-loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Nana, Nanny Darling and Aunt Irma and a bonus Nan to so many friends of her children and grandchildren.
Irma is survived by her children and their families; Debra & David, Edwin Jr & Kathy, William, Sylvie, Gayle & Ed. Grandchildren; David Jr & Nicole, Danean & Philip, Christopher & Morgan, Joseph & Laura, Renee & Benjamin, Andrea & John, Edwin III & Shannon, Kristy & Amanda. Great Grandchildren; Corbin & Colvin, Brayden & Riley, Aria, Deakin & Edwin IV, Jordan, David & Seamus, Isabella & Ethan, Landon & Thea Grace as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Edwin “Pud” Pinkham Sr. in 1995, brothers Robert and Pete (Alton), her sister and best friend Ida and many other loved family members.
For many years Irma loved being the head cook at Levant Consolidated School (now known as Suzanne Smith Elementary) and later, with her husband, children and grandchildren ran Pinkham’s Redemption for 13 years. While her children and grandchildren were growing, she was active in Scouts, many school functions and was very involved in community events. She was a member of the Levant Grange and Rebekah’s, involved in Levant Old Homes Days as a clown and being the Easter Bunny for Levant Rec Egg Hunt. Pud & Irma’s grandchildren will forever cherish the memories of the many holiday traditions. Easter egg hunts where all the eggs were never found, annual “Trick or Treating” in Gramp’s green van gathering bags full of candy, then fun and games that Nan had planned. It was one of her favorite holidays, especially counting all of the trick or treaters knocking on her door. Then the food fights that Nan insisted she never started and Christmas Eve with the whole family gathered together even when we squished 25 or more into her mobile home.
You have touched so many lives and given us so many wonderful memories that we will all cherish forever. You will be forever loved and missed. Love your family.
