Joseph Wilson

Obituary of Joseph Allen Wilson

Joseph Allen Wilson Sr (Joe), 54, of Bangor, passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2021.

Joe was born August 28, 1967, in Bangor, Maine. He got his GED at Bangor High School. He worked as a laborer until an accident left him unable to work. He worked at BAC in Brewer, where he worked without ear protection and it left him deaf. As a result, his favorite thing to do was look at you and act like he knew what you were saying until you saw he was pointing to his other ear. He loved working on model cars, random handiwork wherever he lived, 80s rock, spicy food (specifically Buffalo wings), pro wrestling, Patriots football, his friends, his family, but mostly his kids. He made friends wherever he went, but he cared about his kids more than anything else in his life and you could see that in any picture of him and them.

Joe was predeceased by his best friend and wife, who he reconnected with throughout his life and missed very dearly, Renee Davis; parents, Russell Stackhouse, Timothy Newell, and Ramona Stackhouse; aunt Christine Taylor; siblings, Evelyn "Epo" Newell, Michael Wilson, James; son Levi Joseph Wilson.

Joe is survived by daughters, Sarah Nicole York (grandson Brayden) of Texas and Jayde Autumn Wilson of Lincoln; son Joseph Allen Newell Jr. of Orono; stepson Christopher Butler and stepdaughter Shelby Marquard Black; sisters Molly Newell and wife Alberta of Pleasant Point, Rena Newell of Pleasant Point, and Fran "Hounie" Mershon and husband Greg of Albuquerque, NM; brothers John Wilson of Portland, Louis "Fella" Newell and partner Tristan of Pleasant Point, TJ Newell of Pleasant Point, and Ryan Newell and wife Lisa of Pleasant Point; special friends, Jill Perkins, Sharon Jordan, Leroy Patterson, Jesse; many cousins (he was related to the Apts and the Francis's), nieces, nephews, grandchildren and lots of friends.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be a Last Supper and Celebration of Life 2-4 PM, Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the Brewer Auditorium Rec Center. The celebration of life will be a potluck, as he would never want his friends or family to leave hungry. We will miss him dearly.
