Obituary of Gloria Eastman

Hermon and Lagrange--Gloria Eastman, 84, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2020, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Bangor after a brief illness. She was born on March 20, 1936, in the Philippines.

 

At age 23, when she married her husband Henry, who was a Marine stationed in the Philippines. She was a military wife for 20 years, living in several different states before settling in Maine. Gloria was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, foster mother, and homemaker. She loved cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, and creating a warm, safe, and beautiful home for her family. One of Gloria’s favorite hobbies was gardening. She loved working in the garden and creating beautiful flower arrangements. She loved her children and grandchildren and had a special relationship with each and every one of them. She truly made all of us better people. She loved her Catholic faith and was a devout member of Saint Paul the Apostle Parish. When she was not able to attend Mass, she watched online daily.

 

Gloria was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Henry Eastman. She is survived by son Hank Eastman and wife Marina of Fredericksburg, VA, and their children Thomas, Vincent, Kateri, Teresa, John Paul, Veronica, Martin, and Dominic; daughter Linda Robichaud and husband David of Hermon, and their children Frances, Hannah, and David Henry; son Jack Eastman, and wife Victoria of Milo, and their son Victor; children Joe, Jesse, and Debbie Eastman; siblings in the Philippines Jessie Mendez, Margarita Talon, Domingo Mendez, and Ephron Mendez; many nieces and nephews.
 

The family would like to thank the ER department of St. Joseph’s Hospital, the nurses and staff of the fourth floor, and Dr. Eliza Sharma for their amazing and compassionate care of Gloria.
