Obituary of Alfred L. Halloran
Hudson—Alfred Linwood Halloran, Sr., 75, passed away surrounded by his family on October 20, 2020, after a brief illness. He was born March 13, 1945, the son of Alfred E. Halloran and Luenette (Bubar) Hughes.
Alfred was a man of many talents. He spent many years driving trucks hauling tree length logs and doing some construction. His main love was working on automobiles. He worked for Stratham Tire for many years, before fulfilling his lifelong dream of owning and running his own business at A&A Auto Repair and Sales in Hudson.
Alfred was married to the love of his life, Linda, for 54 years. He was an amazing father to his son and daughter, who both loved him dearly. His granddaughter Alicia was very precious to him and his grandson Herbert was the apple of his eye. He was a good man with a very big heart, who always helped anyone he was able to. He knew how to have a fun time. He enjoyed throwing a line in a brook, camping with friends and family, and four-wheeling. He loved to sit by the campfire tipping back a few cold beers and telling crazy stories from his past. He will be missed by many people, but there is peace in knowing that he is no longer in pain and has been reunited with his wife, grandson, and many loved ones.
He was predeceased by his parents; wife Linda; grandson Herbert; brother Butch. Alfred is survived by son Alfred Jr. and wife Karen; daughter Synette Clark and husband Frankie; granddaughter Alicia; siblings Ethel Thayer, George Halloran and wife Becky; many nieces and nephews.
“Rest in Peace Dad, you will be forever loved and never forgotten.”
