Obituary of Elmer George Stratton

Brewer--Elmer G. Stratton Jr., 75, died peacefully in his bed on July 28, 2020 in Brewer, where he and his wife spent their retirement. Elmer, or Butch as he was known by many, was a longtime resident of Pennsville, NJ. He worked 20 years for both DuPont Chambers Works in Deepwater and as a SSG in the Army reserves in Pedricktown. He was proud to have served in the Navy on the USS Turner. He was on active duty in Desert Storm. He also served as a volunteer fireman, little league coach, member of the Glenside Church of the Nazarene, and a diehard Cleveland Brown’s fan. He is predeceased by his wife of 38 years Sandra Stratton of Deepwater, N.J. and a sister, Leslie Stratton of Ohio. Elmer is survived by daughter Marianne Stratton and grandson Abe Stratton of Hampden; son Matthew Stratton of Bangor; sister Susan Calvert of Ohio. No services are planned at this time.
