Obituary of Terrie L. Clark
Please share a memory of Terrie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Terrie L. Clark, 84, passed away peacefully March 3, 2020 after a lengthy yet courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Terrie was born in Millinocket, the daughter of Walter and Mollie (Farquhar) Dean.
Terrie spent her youth in Pittsfield, and she was an MCI graduate, class of 1953. She then moved to Aroostook County where she raised a family. She worked for many years as the director of school lunch programs in Ft. Fairfield and Brewer. Upon retirement, Terrie spent her time with activities at the Hampden Congregational Church, making sure the turkey pie suppers ran smoothly and traveling with friends on countless bus trips; but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family. Her family was the center of her life, as she was the center of ours. She was always an ear to listen, a ride to or from a game, and our biggest cheerleader regardless of the time or distance. Terrie, Mom, Grammie, Nan, Nina or friend, no matter what you called her, she was the constant that kept us all together and taught us the true value of family.
Terrie is survived by her children, Sue Zanardi of Hampden, Dean Bird and wife Debbie of Orono, Kirk Bird and wife Patty of Waterville, and Matthew Clark and wife Dorie of Brooks; grandchildren, Kristi Yocco and husband Tony and their 5 children of Racine, WI, Chris Zanardi and significant other Jana Watson of Corinth, Keith Zanardi and wife Jessie Hamilton of Windham, Zachary Bird and wife Angie and their son of Roanoke, VA, Alex Boyette and husband Jason and their 4 children of Garner, NC, and Tyler Searway and Meghan Clark of Brooks; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends too numerous to mention.
Terrie was predeceased by her parents, husband Ronald “Ted” Clark, and a brother James “Bill” Dean.
A private graveside service will be held this summer at Village Cemetery, Pittsfield. Memorial contributions in Terrie’s honor may be made to Northern Light Continuing Care Lakewood, Moonlight Bay Dementia Unit, 220 Kennedy Memorial Drive, Waterville, ME 04901.
