Obituary of Norman L. Stevens
Norman L. Stevens, 96, died peacefully on Dec. 7, 2019 in Bangor surrounded by his nieces and nephews. Norman was born on January 7, 1923 in Orono to Sanford and Josephine (Boucher) Stevens.
Norman was a graduate of Orono Catholic High School and worked many years for Eastern Fine Paper until his retirement. Norman was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.
In addition to his parents and siblings, Norman was predeceased by his only children, Peter and John; by a grandson, Michael and by Dotty, Whiz and Mac who loved him and whom he loved. He is survived by grandsons, Chris and Brian and several nieces and nephews who loved and adored him and, most notably his niece and caregiver, Mary (Stevens) Newman.
A private ceremony and burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Orono. For those who wish to honor Norman’s life, the family has asked they make a donation to any charity or volunteer their time to help others.
