Obituary of Mark K. Jarvis

Mark K. Jarvis, 17, died unexpectedly November 19, 2019.  Mark was born April 12, 2002 in Bangor, the son of Kenneth and Bethany (Granville) Jarvis. Mark was attending Bangor High School and was a student with the graduating Class of 2020.  Mark was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was also active in sports at All Saints Catholic School and with Holbrook Recreation and was a member of the Boy Scouts Pack and Troop 17.  His greatest achievements were earning his Karate Black Belt and the Boy Scouts’ greatest award, the Eagle Scout Rank.  A special enjoyment for Mark was the freedom of driving around in his car.

 

He is survived by his loving devoted parents, Kenneth and Bethany, special loving brother Erik, grandfather Kenneth Sr.; aunts and uncles Barbara and Ben Lund, Dawn Granville, Roxanne Jarvis, Chris and Marla Jarvis, Norma Noble and many more aunts, uncles and cousins.  Special pets, Sarah Anne, Suzie and Gracie. He was predeceased by his grandparents Donald and Ethel (Lund) Granville and Suzanne Jarvis.

 

A celebration of life will be held 4 - 7 PM Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the parish center of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 217 York St., Bangor where a funeral liturgy and service honoring Mark’s life will be held 11 AM Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may remember Mark by making a memorial gift to the Katahdin Area Council Adopt-A-Scout Program, PO Box 1869, Bangor, ME  04402 or katahdinareabsa.org or to a favorite charity.  Arrangements trust to Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, Bangor and Brewer and messages and memories of Mark may be shared at kileyandfoley.com.
