Obituary of Margaret Lorom Cormier

Brewer and Littleton—Margaret (Lorom) Cormier, 96, passed away peacefully November 22, 2019.  She was born August 13, 1923, in Littleton, the daughter of Herbert and Frances (Dewitt) Lorom.

 

Margaret attended school at Ricker High School in Houlton.  She was a long time employee of Cortell-Segal’s in Bangor, working as a seamstress and bookkeeper.

 

She was predeceased by her parents; husband Oliver Cormier; 13 brothers and sisters.  Margaret is survived by daughters Margaret Curcio of Newell, PA, and Lynne Vigue of Meriden, CT; grandchildren Vicki Rashid, Christopher Curcio, Nicholas Curcio; great-grandchildren Alexandra Rashid, Abigail Rashid, Zachary Rashid, Emi Curcio and Kennedy Curcio; special niece Thelma Henderson of Littleton; friend of 60 years Annette Sawyer of Eddington.

 

In honor of the great care provided to Margaret in her final days, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation, 106 Congress St., Bangor, ME  04401.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM, Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 768 Ohio St., Bangor.  All are invited to a reception in the church hall following the Mass.  Burial alongside her husband will take place at a later date at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Civic Center Dr., Augusta.  Messages and memories may be shared with her family at kileyandfoley.com
