Pat was a good friend and colleague during our time together in the office at Sears Roebuck in the early 1980s. Our desks were located next to each other, near the back [of course!] of the office. We enjoyed being able to take in everything that went on, up ahead of us! As mentioned by many others, who knew and loved Pat, he made life [even work in the Sears office!] feel fun and warm. It's true-- a pun, and a chuckle was never far from his lips. He was also a very generous person-- not only with a ready handful of candy, but with any help you needed. What amazed me was the fact that he really had a lot of responsibility, with a bunch of kids...but he maintained a calm, jovial demeanor; even under pressure. I was the new kid in the office-- 18 years old-- and uncertain of what to do sometimes. Pat was always open and friendly; never made me feel like a burden when I asked him questions. Later in life, our paths crossed again, through our involvement with organized labor. It was always great to see Pat at the Labor Hall, in South Brewer. This work really brought out more of his serious, leadership qualities... That said, you knew Pat the Imp was never far from the surface! I love you Pat; as I know everyone from the old Sears office does! You'll be missed by all... No doubt, you're having fun up above!

I very much enjoyed working with Pat on the Missions Board and enjoyed my casual conversations with him as well. He was a generous man. I love how he put his love of good food and cooking towards good causes. No one made a better lasagna than Pat.

Warm light your way Nancy and the family. I worked with pat as a job coach and also a teacher. he was a great guy who often spoke of his family. I am very sad to hear the news of pats passing but hold fond memories. When working with pat he had such a love for the people we were working for he was a very gentle and caring person. I am sorry that his family members have lost such a great guy . I have lived in Orrington for many years and had the pleasure of spending time with Pat and if I needed anything to do with Orrington Pat had all the answers it was a privilege to have known him. God Bless each and everyone one of you

It's been many years since we've seen each other, but Pat was a good friend to me when I needed one. He took me to my first hockey game at UMO. I'll never forget it and the wonderful time we had. Nancy, I am so sorry for your loss. You lost a wonderful man.

After Sunday Service @EOCC, going down stairs to Fellowship Hall, the 1st thing I would do is to see if Pat was there sitting @ a table, having a snack, ready for a greeting. We would talk about the sports in Philadelphia & New England. Always was the high lite of my day. Will miss those conversations & talks we had. Rest In Peace, my friend!

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your loved one. I worked for many years with Pat at Sears in Bangor. I will always remember Pat as a punster, joke teller and story teller extraordinaire. He was fun to work with and although I'm sure he had a bad day occasionally, I never recall a bitter or angry word. Following his time at Sears, I know that he moved on to the Costigan Mill, and if you're ever in the area, stop at the Solidarity Center in South Brewer, behind St. Theresa's Church and you'll see Pat captured on the labor history mural. I last saw Pat a couple of years ago at Marden's and he relayed that he'd had some issues with his diabetes. It was my honor to have known Pat. Nancy and my wife Patricia were in labor with Heather and Kathleen respectively at the same time at Eastern Maine Medical Center. I'm sure that Pat was a wonderful husband and father. I've also had the good fortune to have worked with his sister Barbara and brother Barry at Bangor Hydro/Emera Maine. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Nancy and family. I am so sorry to lose Pat in our lives but we know he is now without pain and so very happy to be with our Lord and your beautiful granddaughter. Pat was one of us at Monday Night Group and I have great memories of you and Pat coming to visit at Cold stream in the summer. he will b missed by all of us at EOCC for sure.
