Obituary of Earl F. Pardy, Jr.

Earl F. Pardy, Jr. Winterport – Earl F. Pardy, Jr., 84, Lt Col, ANG, USAF, Ret, passed away peacefully Dec. 30, 2015 with his family at his side. He was born July 24, 1931 in New London, NH, the son of the late Ann Fifield and Earl F. Pardy, Sr. Earl was raised in New London, NH and graduated from Kimball Union Academy in 1949. He attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Maine, Orono. He was a US Air Force veteran serving nearly 30 years as a pilot flying fighter aircraft and tanker aircraft with the Maine Air National Guard retiring in 1981. Earl was a collector, avid hiker, sportsman, enjoyed racing bicycles and he operated a bicycle shop. He raised his children to be of service to others. His dry sense of humor, his intellectual curiosity and especially his love of his children and family will be sorely missed. Surviving are his children, Scott Pardy of Bangor, Alice Arena and her husband, Robert of Weymouth, MA and Julia Pesce and her husband, William of Bangor; grandchildren, Anthony Pardy and his wife, Megan of Bangor, Lara Pardy and her husband, John Graves of Bangor, Jason Lubitz and his partner, Amanda Vonborstel of Hermon, Steven Lubitz of Worcester, MA, Matthew Pardy of Bangor, Nicholas Arena of Worcester, MA and Anastasia Arena of Boston, MA; great grandchildren, Damian, Jaxon, Malakai, Maddox and Jaidyn; several cousins. Family and friends may visit 11 AM to 1 PM Monday, January 4, 2016 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. Burial with full military honors will be held in the spring at Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport. Messages and memoires may be share with his family at kileyandfoley.com.
