Julie was my first love when I was in college....and thought I was four years older, I was not ready, as she was, for a committed relationship. My memory of her was as a smart, beautiful and deeply caring person, for whom I will always have a warm spot in my heart. My condolences (albeit two years late...I was curious, made a search, and found out about her dearth) to her family....you lost a wonderful woman.

Dear Kate,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother and her long struggle with ALS. She sounds like she was an incredible woman, which I'm sure she was to have raised such a beautiful, kind, and funny daughter as you. Thinking of you and your entire family at this difficult time.
Love,
Andrea

Julie was my best friend for 45 years.
Her passing leaves me with great sorrow and sadness.
I try and remember the good times; the fun we had at work and play; the great laughs we enjoyed together
Remember the holidays together with our families
Remember the good times at our Friday afternoon playdates with the Baldwin, Cuddy and Beard kids and Kate and Andrew
Remember travelling to Ireland
So many memories!
Ed and I both send our love and thoughts to all of you

Stunned to see the obituary of Julie in yesterday's Bangor Daily. Sorry for the agony and sadness endured by Julie's family and friends. Just kids at Bangor High, fifty years ago she and her sister, Nan, doubled-dated with Gary Cole and me to a dance of some sort. Seems like just a few years ago. Sad, sad, sad.

Dear John and Family,
The loss of Julie will be felt by so many...she touched many lives. Her intelligence and humor influenced me as a teenager, attending 'Sunday School' at your home and babysitting Kate and Andrew. I recall with great fondness a number of shopping excursions with Julie and my Mom, returning home with treasures and sides that hurt from a day full of laughter.
Though its been years since seeing her (and you), I always smile and wave when passing the pretty yellow cape. Bless her dear heart. My sincerest condolences. May she rest in peace.

I was fortunate to have known Julie and served in GFWC Maine with her. She was a worker, always cheerful and fun to be around. I've missed her in recent years and I'm so sorry for the reason. She'll be missed.

Dear Kate, I am so saddened to learn of your mother's death. Julie was the most clever woman I know-- marvelously intelligent, articulate, original, and amusing. When our children were young and we both lived in Winterport, we visited frequently. She was an excellent cook and a legendary hostess, invitations to her Derby and holiday parties were coveted!
Kathy Simpson brought her to our summer home in Northeast Harbor about 7-8 years ago, we visited and went to Jordan Pond house for tea and popovers-- it was a lovely afternoon.
I'm so sorry to miss seeing you on 5/31, we will be in NC for a week, during that time.
Please find my enclosed hugs and heartfelt condolences. Much love, Patricia
