Obituary of Sharon Marie Fuller

VEAZIE - Sharon Fuller of Veazie was born the daughter of Linwood and Rachel Fuller on August 7, 1957, in Belfast, Maine. Sharon passed away peacefully at her home on April 24, 2017. Sharon graduated from Belfast Area High School and Husson College with recognitions for her outstanding athletic achievements in field hockey, basketball, and softball, and her love of athletic games. She worked for many years at EMMC where her quick-witted sarcasm, open-hearted generosity, and sheer grit gained her the admiration of countless friends. Sharon's community of friends and acquaintances grew and grew as she traveled around the US and beyond, the result of her incredible ability to disarm and befriend almost everyone she met with the gregarious, outgoing nature she inherited from her mother Rachel. Sharon valued her relationships greatly, especially the deep, enduring friendships she forged growing up in Belfast, competing at Husson College, and working at the hospital. Sharon's courage in the face of life's many challenges, fierce loyalty to friends, and pervasive sense of fun have left an indelible mark on all who know and love her. Truly, Sharon lived loving life and the people in it. Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Rachel and Linwood Fuller, siblings, Stephen and Linda, and nephew, Michael. She is survived by her brother, Michael, her sister, Pamela, and Pam's husband Arthur, her sister, Patricia, her sister Heidi, nieces, Ayla, Natasha, Amber, and Hayley, nephew Dylan, and forever best friend, Verna. Sharon wished to extend her gratitude to those caring hands at EMMC, CCOM, and Beacon, where she was better known as "8-7-57." Bless you. A service celebrating and honoring Sharon's life will be held 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the First Congregational Church in Belfast with pastor Kate Winters, presiding.
