Obituary of Robert Lewis Decker
Harmony & Brewer—Robert Louis Decker, 72, passed away at a Bangor healthcare facility Feb. 22, 2017. He was born as Robert Pratt in Dexter and was adopted on July 5, 1949 by Laurence F. and Velma P. Decker of Clinton.
He attended schools in Clinton and West Clinton and graduated from Skowhegan High School. Robert worked numerous jobs, including textile weaver and fixer, respiratory care worker, machinist, mechanic, mechanical engineer, truck driver/operator, teacher, and pollution control mechanic. He also owned an auto repair business. Robert was a lifelong member of the Harmony Volunteer Fire Dept. He was active in the Harmony community, helping to start the Harmony Veterans Honor Roll & Museum, Harmony Historical Society, and helped to design the Harmony Free Fair fairgrounds. He enjoyed music, all things electronic, traveling, camping, fishing, and hunting.
He was married to Florence I. Gard Hubley, who predeceased him in 2010.
