Obituary of Frances Juliet Carter

Bangor—Frances "Faye" Carter, 93, passed away with her loving daughter and best friend by her side Feb. 26, 2017, at home in Bangor. She was born Apr. 1, 1923, to Jarvis and Jennie Hand of Etna. Faye was born in Etna. She attended Etna schools and college in Boston. She married Richard P. Carter in 1944 and they resided in Hampden and Bangor. She was employed by Sears & Roebuck for 26 years and then served as the secretary/treasurer of Local #1327 in Brewer for 25 years. Faye enjoyed handiwork, gardening, and long car rides. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; brothers Eugene and George. She is survived by daughter Beverly Ann Carter of Bangor, who will miss her dearly. She is also remembered by sister Norma Jean DeCosta and cousin Rita in Florida. Private burial will take place at a later time alongside her husband at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
