Karen was a great sister and even better person. Karen was always put others before herself and was a pillar of strength for our family (particularly over the past couple months when her suffering was at its worst). We should all be inspired by her courage. What I'm Thankful for today is that Karen is no longer in pain and she is with my Dad in a better place.
I love you Karen.

Our hearts weigh heavy today on the passing of our neighbor and true friend. Rich and Karen you were the first to welcome us into the neighborhood over 25 yrs ago and have been "special" to us all ever since. We shall cherish the times we had with Karen watching Jacob and our girls growing up together. ( Lori referred to it as "The Housewives of Patten Drive" era) Our fond memories of birthday, graduation and New Year's Eve Parties with fun times had by all:) We shall continue to gather in the neighborhood for meals, laughter, games and fun and Karen's spirit shall always be present. Our deepest sympathy to Rich and family and know how special Karen was to so many people. We have so much to be thankful for, but on this Thanksgiving Day we give thanks for having and knowing Karen in our lives. Rest in peace true neighbor and FRIEND.

Although we never met, we spoke twice, and you INSPIRED me. You 'won' your courageous fight; now being rewarded with your place with God. Rest in peace, I love you.

I was lucky to have had such a supportive sister who always put others first even when she was going through her battle. I couldn't have asked for a better sister and have lot's of memories I will always cherish. I hope my Dad and her grandchildren will continue to give her peace and love. Rich, Jacob, Lauren and Erin..my heart breaks for you.
