Obituary of Catherine A. Demmons

Catherine A. “Cathy” Demmons Hermon – Catherine A. “Cathy” Demmons, 54, wife of Daniel Demmons, Sr., died Jan. 2, 2017 at her home in Hermon. She was born Feb. 13, 1962 in Houlton, the daughter of Walter D. and Ann E. (Caldwell) Davis. Cathy grew up in Bangor and graduated from the Univ. of Maine. She worked for several years doing administrative and office management work for various businesses. She was a dedicated and devoted wife and homemaker who loved to cook. Surviving in addition to her husband, Daniel Demmons, Sr. of Hermon are three brothers, Walter “Danny” Davis, Mike Davis and Greg Davis and Tracy all of Bangor; her mother, Ann Lanford and her husband and Cathy’s stepfather, Henry Lanford of Bangor; four stepchildren, Amanda, Daniel, Jr. , Heidi and Jessica; in-laws, Donnie Demmons, Steven Demmons and his wife, Ellen, Lauri Demmons and Gerald Demmons and his wife, Penny; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her father, Walter Davis. She will be missed by many friends including Maureen Perry and Kathy Ellingwood and her little dogs, Harley and Maggie. Family and friends may visit 10 AM to 12 Noon, Saturday, Jan. 7, 2016 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor where a service honoring Cathy’s life will be held at Noon as the visitation concludes with her son-in-law, Pastor Darren Farmer, presiding. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
